I wrote this song at work on 5/28/09 the day before my 23rd birthday. It was kinda strange, I came up with it melody, lyrics then orchestration which is completely backwards from they way I normally come up with my music.
The only effects I added is a tiny little bit of reverb in the vocals, the mandolin actually sounds like that.
It is a little Vietnamese made instrument that has a inner set of sides with the outer sides perforated with sound ports. Mic'ing it was a real bitch This thing projects sound in stereo!
